Thanks for stopping by the website of
the Feather River Lapidary & Mineral Society. Our rock society is located in
Oroville, CA (Butte County) and we are in our third calendar year of
operation. Check out
Rock Tumbling Contest for
details on the next Annual Rock Tumbling Championships!
The Club brings together a diverse group of
individuals who are interested in geology, minerals, polished rocks and all
aspects of jewelry-making. We have a fully-functional Rock Shop available to our
members which includes basic lapidary cutting, grinding and polishing
equipment. We not only train our members to use the equipment, but provide
open shop time for them to pursue their own projects. We also teach
numerous classes and host 11 Field Trips each year to collect the raw
materials we use for our projects.
Membership is open to everyone age 11 or older.
